Oh Baby mini album

for Amanda.  Lets go back a couple of years.  My daughter Debbie was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.  Debbie was blessed to have so many wonderful, supportive friends.  Amanda was always there ready to give a helping hand so when I heard that she was expecting a baby I wanted to make something special for her.
I don't normally like yellow but in my mind's eye, I visualised a Black and White album with a touch of Yellow filled with tiny black and white photos.  This album will take up to 26 photos with plenty of room for journaling.  I challenged myself to use what was in my stash and the only thing I bought was yellow cardstock.  I wanted this album to be interactive so I added several techniques.

I covered a box with coordinating paper

The centre piece is chipboard, inked black with 3 coats of embossing powder

Photos slip in behind vellum

Pull out Slider holds 2 photos

Photos tuck in behind white diagonal strips and vellum

Pull our hidden tags - Side and Pocket

Hand made vellum envelopes with note paper for messages
Butterfly wings hold down envelope flaps

 Mini album holds extra photos

  Pull out side tag

 Waterfall Pull Tab

 Triple Layered Vellum Butterfly

Debbie has responded very well to treatment and is doing well.  Amanda had a little girl named Hope.
